European Installation Bus (a.k.a. Instabus). An embedded control protocol for digital communication between devices. It consists of a two-wire bus line that is installed along with normal electrical wiring. The Instabus functions like a telephone line over which appliances can be controlled, and links all appliances to a decentralised communication system.
